Biografie
Jan Dewilde (translation: Jo Sneppe)
Gustaaf Van Wassenhoven received his music initiation from his father Simon, who he succeeded as organist of the deanery church in Sint-Niklaas. He also had the privilege to inaugurate the new organ of the main church on 14 October 1897. Gustaaf Van Wassenhoven composed songs and sacred music. His Kerstlied (Christmas Carol) for soprano and choir was published and met with quite some popularity.
